Charles B. “Cardy” Pursel
Charles B. “Cardy” Pursel is the firm’s elder statesman and unofficial founder, dating back to the mid 1960's when he worked with the late Dale Derr on a practice-sharing basis. A third-generation Bloomsburg resident, Attorney Pursel graduated from Haverford College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1963. Attorney Pursel holds memberships in the Columbia-Montour Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Today, after forty years of active “lawyering”, Attorney Pursel is “of counsel” to the firm, working part-time in the areas of Real Estate, Wills, Trusts and Estates. cpursel@bloomsburglaw.com
Alvin J. Luschas
Alvin J. Luschas, a Shennandoah, PA native, joined the firm when it became a partnership in the 1970's. A cum laude graduate of the University of Scranton and of the St. Louis University Law School, Attorney Luschas was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1975. Attorney Luschas also served as a Captain in the US Army Reserve from 1976-1982. Attorney Luschas was Solicitor for Columbia County from 1979-1991, receiving the Outstanding Solicitor Award of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Commissioners in 1989; the Columbia Montour Agency on Aging in 1991; the Hemlock Municipal Sewer Cooperative in 1993, and President of the Board of Directors of the Bloomsburg Area YMCA in 1998-1999. Attorney Luschas is presently Solicitor for the Bloomsburg Area Flood Control Authority; Mifflin Township Board of Supervisors; and the Mifflin Township Water Authority. Attorney Luschas holds membership in the Columbia-Montour Bar Association (President 1991-1992); the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations; the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the Pennsylvania Association of Township Supervisors. Gary E. Norton
Gary E. Norton, a lifelong Bloomsburg resident, joined the firm in 1985. Gary graduated magna cum laude from Shippensburg University in 1982 and cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1985 where he was an Editor on the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. Gary was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1985, the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in 1987, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1987 and the US Supreme Court in 1988. He holds memberships in the Columbia-Montour Bar Association (President 2002-2004) and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Gary has been active in the Bloomsburg Area YMCA (President 1988), Bloomsburg Rotary Club (President 1993-1994), Columbia County United Way (President 1994) and the Bloomsburg Area Chamber of Commerce (Chairman 2002-2004). Gary is Solicitor for the Central Columbia School District, the Bloomsburg Area School District, Columbia Montour Vocational-Technical School, Scott Township, and Orangeville Borough and he has served as District Attorney for Columbia County since 2004. Noah G. Naparsteck
Noah G. Naparsteck, a native of Wilkes-Barre, PA, joined the firm in 1998 and became a partner in January of 2005. A graduate of Kings College, cum laude, in 1994, and the Dickinson Law School in 1998, Attorney Naparsteck was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1998, holding memberships in the Columbia-Montour County Bar Association (President 2008-2010), the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Member: Young Lawyers Division; House of Delegates 1999-2004), the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. C. Brian Crane, a native of Danville, PA, joined the firm in 2004. Attorney Crane graduated with honors from both Georgetown University in 1999 and the Dickinson School of Law in 2004 and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2004. Attorney Crane holds memberships in the Columbia-Montour Bar Association (secretary 2005- 2010); the Pennsylvania Bar Association; Order of Barristers; 2006, US District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania; and the National Appellate Moot Court Team. Attorney Crane is also on the Board of Directors of the Danville Chapter Red Cross (2004- present), and Camp Victory (2007 - present).
